2001 Toyota Sequoia in Corpus Christi, TX in Corpus Christi, Texas

Full Description

2001 Toyota Sequoia 2WD LimitedThis Sequoia LTD was purchased in Houston September 2007 with approximately 50,000 miles. It now has 195,000My guess is that the former owner sold it because it had a terribly annoying vibration at about 60 miles per hour and up. It took me YEARS to figure that out, I replaced tires (more than once), the rims (with OEM rims, just in better shape), u-joints, and finally I talked the Toyota mechanics into replacing the drive shaft. That fixed the problem, but is took a long time. Seems that there is a fiber inner portion of the tube, and it had deterioratedI have changed the oil, always used Mobil One, and it has never used a drop. Ever. Since I only put about 10,000-12,000 miles on it per year, I change the oil twice a year. Many of the miles were highway as we lived in Kansas City, Portland, OR, Virginia Beach and now Corpus ChristiTwo years ago, I had the front seats professionally recovered with leather that looks and feels like new. They claim better than new. The single back seat has a small repair to the leather seat. It comes with two third seats that are on a shelf in my garage and have been for years. I only install when carrying up to 7 people. The hood has some rock chips, the headlights are bright and I clean them from time

to time, and there are a couple of parking lot rashes, but nothing seriousNo leaks, water or oil. The engine compartment was recently detailed and looks pretty spectacular. Brake pads are good, had the brake discs and pads completely replaced a year agoAC is perfect, cools down even in Corpus Christi summer, it has a rear feature. The mirrors no longer fold in, but that could be fixed for about $75. I did not think it was important enoughThe rear door latch needs to be lubed with WD-40 every now and then. That latch mechanism is not Toyotas best engineering design. Quite manageableIt has been retrofitted to accommodate a trailer with electric brakes. Gas mileage is typical for a Sequoia, about 16 to 19 mpg, depending on city or highwayI took this vehicle to Sioux City Iowa after Thanksgiving 2019, and would not hesitate to take it anywhere at the drop of a hatThe reason I am selling after 13 years of ownership is that I am 75 years old and we are downsizing everything. I intend to get another used car, but probably something much more modest. If I thought I would drive for another twenty years and had the money, I would get another SequoiaLocated in Corpus Christi, TXStock Number A210471UFinancing, Nationwide Shipping and Warranties available to qualified buyers.BR> Stock Number: A210471U
